Job summary

Warwick is seeking a Post Award Finance Officer to support a portfolio of externally funded research and related projects from acceptance to closure, ensuring compliance with university regulations. You will submit claims and invoices to funders by key deadlines and support funder audits.

The role is campus-based with a hybrid policy allowing up to 40% remote work, subject to review and operational requirements. Training and professional development opportunities are provided.

About the Role

Based in the Research Finance – Post Award team, you will be proactively supporting a portfolio of externally funded research and research related projects from acceptance to closure, ensuring compliance with university regulations and funder requirements. Submitting claims and invoices to funders by the key deadline date and supporting funder audits.

About You

Post holders will be expected to work independently and without supervision for much of the time. You will have excellent customer service ethos with the ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders (particularly those in academic departments) through close communication and information sharing, and collaborative working. You will be passionate about implementing process improvements and devising innovative solutions to challenges.

The University Finance office supports business planning and innovation to maximise the financial resources available to the University and create the long-term sustainable financial platform required for future growth. The role is campus based however staff can opt to work under the Finance Office’s current hybrid policy where a maximum of 40% of time (2 days per week for full time staff; normally Tuesdays and Fridays) can be worked remotely. This is subject to review and operational requirements. Whilst in the induction phase you’ll be required to work 100% in the office. Further details are available on request or at interview stage.
