Job summary

Loughborough University is seeking a Research Development Associate to join the Research & Innovation Office on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This full-time role offers hybrid working: 3 days on campus and 2 days from home, based at Loughborough.

You will support researchers to identify funding opportunities, develop proposals and coordinate fellowship activities, strengthening the university’s funding pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and communicating research funding and fellowship opportunities.
• Supporting the development of high-quality funding applications and strategic bids.
• Delivering workshops, briefing sessions and researcher development activities.
• Monitoring developments in the research funding landscape and providing intelligence on funder priorities.
• Facilitating collaborations and partnerships that enhance research competitiveness.
• Coordinating fellowship support activities and contributing to initiatives that strengthen researchers' ability to secure independent funding.
• Working collaboratively across professional services teams to provide excellent support to academic colleagues.
