An established industry player is seeking a Research Associate to contribute to impactful health policy research. We wish to appoint a Research Associate with expertise in qualitative research, health and care systems, and policy to join the Health Organisation, Policy and Economics (HOPE) research group at The University of Manchester. The successful candidate will work on a Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) commissioned Post-Implementation Review of the Health and Care Act 2022, co-led by Dr Jonathan Hammond (The University of Manchester) and Dr Marie Sanderson (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). Additionally, they will join the team delivering the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Policy Research Unit in Health and Care Systems and Commissioning (PRUComm).
The successful applicant will collaborate closely with Dr Jonathan Hammond, Professor Kath Checkland, and other research team members. The position is based in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care, within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. It offers an excellent opportunity to conduct policy-relevant research and engage with policymakers and advisers in the Department of Health and Social Care.
