Job summary

Yale Cancer Center is seeking a Laboratory Research Specialist to support day-to-day operations, mouse colony management, ordering, and inventory. The role includes executing experiments, including mouse work, in vitro assays, and advanced sequencing techniques, to advance immunology research.

The candidate will join a dynamic team, building laboratory and scientific skills while contributing to data analysis, reporting, and publications. Master’s degree with relevant lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related fields with relevant lab techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a collaborative research team.
• Capability to perform independent research and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Recommend procedures and protocols under supervision.
• Investigate and interpret research planning results.

• Perform independent research and contribute to planning.
• Coordinate with PI, assistants, students, and safety officers to ensure lab operation.
