About Coding Bio

Coding Bio is a startup focused on building modular therapies engineered for immune activation through the blending of computation, synthetic biology, and immunotherapy. We are a tight-knit, passionate team dedicated to advancing science and developing innovative therapies.

At Coding Bio, we use an ML-first approach to design new immunotherapies, combined with our high-throughput screening platform to discover new life changing therapies for patients.

Our mission is to radically accelerate the design of next-generation immunotherapies using machine learning and high-throughput biology. We’re building the tools to unlock life-changing treatments faster, with greater precision, and at scale.

We are looking for an Associate Scientist, or Scientist (dependent upon experience) to join our ResearchTeam. In this role you will be involved at the critical point of candidate screening and assay development, identifying best-in-class immunotherapies. If you are a highly motivated individual, thrive in collaborative environments, and are keen to grow, we would love to hear from you.

This role offers hands-on involvement across our discovery pipeline, with close collaboration across our platform, development, and machine learning teams. You’ll thrive here if you’re experimental by nature, driven by data, and excited to grow with a startup shaping the future of immunotherapy.

The Role
  • Independently perform Next-Generation sequencing experiments (Nanopore, Illumina)
  • Collaborate closely with team members, contributing to our research goals and discovery of new therapeutic candidates
  • Work closely with other teams within the company
  • Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures and outcomes, ensuring transparent communication within the team
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to support the progress of ongoing projects
  • Work closely with teams across the company to contribute to broader company goals
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities and goals to meet the changing needs of an early stage company
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD degree in a relevant discipline (cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, etc)
  • Wet-lab experience in molecular biology
  • Strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Strong learning propensity with an interest to expand knowledge of, and technical skills in the field of immunotherapeutic drug discovery
Strong alignment with our company values
  • Move fast make it last
  • Cells, not just organelles
  • Furiously curious
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in next-generation sequencing
  • Molecular biology experience (PCR, Golden Gate Assembly, etc.)
  • Knowledge of antibody and T cell engager structure and function

Not sure you meet all the requirements? Don’t let that hold you back. We’re looking for people with passion and potential, not just a perfect checklist match.
