Role Overview:

We are recruiting an R&D Senior Scientist with extensive experience in cell biology tests and biocompatibility. The role involves supporting medical device development, providing technical support, and managing R&D team members. The position reports to the R&D Manager and is based in Winsford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cell biology assays such as viability, scratch, imaging, ELISA, anti-inflammatory screening, cytotoxicity, and MMP sequestration.
• Develop, optimize, and validate test methods for R&D projects.
• Act as SME in biocompatibility, reviewing documentation for product design and changes.
• Manage and motivate direct reports within the R&D team.
• Record data following GLP and R&D procedures.
• Conduct literature research to correlate findings.
• Maintain the tissue culture laboratory in compliance with standards.
• Ensure all practices meet current cell biology standards.
• Authorize scientific protocols, reports, publications, and presentations.
• Support marketing with technical content.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of GLP and H&S in the laboratory.
