The Role will be focusing on advanced analytics and reporting using Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, Oracle Cloud ADW database and many more exciting tools.

Working within an agile environment, the Specialist partners with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify data needs, and transform complex data into meaningful, actionable insights. The role is responsible for extracting, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources, developing robust reporting solutions, and delivering intuitive dashboards and visualisations that support both strategic and operational objectives.

The role acts as an advocate for data-driven thinking, applying data storytelling techniques to communicate trends, risks and opportunities, while championing data quality and continuous improvement through the development of robust standards and processes.

A proactive, curious, and solution-focused approach is essential to this role.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Build and maintain analytical products (i.e., reports and dashboards) in line with requirements, best practices, and approved tools.
  • Design metrics, simplify data querying and visualise insights, maintain data updates and assure quality work to Heathrow standards.
  • Ensure high quality analysis and supporting documentation is delivered to support change/process initiatives, project requirements, timescales, and budgets.
  • Ability to combine datasets to drive meaningful outputs including ad-hoc deep dive analytics and qualitative & quantitative analysis.
  • Support the business community in the learning of the self-serve tool Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.
  • In addition to the above, the Specialist is an active member of the analytics community gathering and championing best practices; working to improve themselves and their team through the exploration of new technologies and processes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience extracting, manipulating, validating and presenting large, complex datasets using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or R.
  • Demonstrable commitment to delivering high-quality outputs, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to sharing ideas and identifying solutions.
  • Naturally curious, open-minded and motivated to continuously learn and improve.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience of data extraction, transformation and validation using Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion and/or Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) within Finance (ERP) and/or People (HCM) environments.
  • Understanding of management accounting, financial planning and forecasting principles.
  • Knowledge or practical application of Machine Learning and AI techniques.
  • Experience working within an Agile delivery environment.
