Job summary
Heathrow in the United Kingdom is seeking a SharePoint Subject Matter Expert to design, configure and govern Heathrow’s SharePoint platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into practical, scalable solutions and communicate complex concepts clearly.
This role requires governance, security, and seamless integrations within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with SPFx development, PowerShell automation and ongoing user adoption support across the organisation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience administering and configuring SharePoint Online within a large organisation.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, governance, and security principles.
- Hands-on experience with SPFx development, including design, deployment and support of custom SharePoint solutions.
- PowerShell scripting skills including SharePoint Online, PnP PowerShell, Graph, and automation of admin/governance activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform and Graph.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Developing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, and best practices for SharePoint usage.
- Partnering with business units to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions for collaboration and information management.
- Managing integrations between SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services for seamless experiences.
- Providing expert guidance, training, and support to internal teams to maximise adoption of SharePoint.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements for a high-performing platform.
- Staying up to date with Microsoft 365 developments and advising on new features and capabilities.

As a SharePoint Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and governance of Heathrow’s SharePoint platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible way. Success in this role means delivering a reliable, secure, and user-focused SharePoint environment that supports Heathrow’s operational and strategic goals.

- Experience supporting Copilot, Viva, and other modern Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
- Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps for process automation and custom solutions.
