Job summary

Gloucester City Homes is seeking an experienced Repairs and Voids Manager to lead our Repairs and Voids service, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality work for our customers. You will steer operational teams, set priorities and drive performance across productivity, quality and customer service.

You will oversee responsive repairs and our voids programme, manage resources, budgets and subcontractors, and use data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement while ensuring robust

Qualifications

• CIH level 4 or willingness to work towards.
• A Level 2 trade qualification, or equivalent qualification relevant to maintenance and construction.
• A management or supervisory qualification, or equivalent competence gained through experience.
• A health and safety qualification, ideally IOSH Managing Safely.
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of responsive repairs and void management; Empty Homes Re-Let Standard.
• Strong knowledge of social housing property risks, HHSRS and housing safety requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and subcontractors with value for money.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Repairs and Voids service to deliver safe, compliant, high-quality work.
• Oversee responsive repairs and voids delivery, on time and within budget.
• Manage resources, budgets and subcontractor activity with performance data.
• Drive continuous improvement using customer feedback and insights.
• Ensure robust health, safety and compliance arrangements are in place.
• Collaborate across GCH to align repairs, planned works and wider property activity.
• Establish a consistent approach to inspections and quality assurance.
