Job summary

Winchester City Council is seeking a senior operational lead to drive the responsive repairs, damp and mould and void property functions. You will lead the Repairs and Voids team and take a key client-side role in managing our contractor for delivery of safe, timely and high-quality services to residents.

The role emphasizes leadership, sound judgement, contractor performance improvements and effective risk management, with a focus on resident experience and value for money.

Qualifications

• Senior repairs/housing experience in housing or property services.
• Experience leading teams and managing contractors.
• Strong governance, performance management and value-for-money focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Winchester City Council’s responsive repairs, damp and mould and void property functions to deliver safe, timely and high-quality services.
• Provide visible leadership to the Repairs and Voids team and manage the Repairs and Voids contractor on client-side terms.
• Use performance data, budgets and intelligence to drive improvements and challenge underperformance.
• Support collaboration with Housing, Property Services and Asset's teams to drive continuous improvement.
