Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Repairs Surveyor to join our busy Asset Management team, delivering high quality property maintenance across residential housing. You will inspect buildings, diagnose complex repair issues, and oversee remedial works valued up to 20,000.

In this role you will manage repairs projects from inspection to completion, advise residents, coordinate with in-house teams and external contractors, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience managing property repairs and diagnosing building defects in residential housing.
• Experience managing repair projects up to 20,000.
• Experience using pricing methods (schedules of rates, quotations, tenders).
• Strong communication skills with residents, contractors and stakeholders.
• Valid driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle; DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property inspections to identify defects and diagnose complex repair issues.
• Prepare detailed specifications for remedial works and arrange works orders with in-house maintenance teams.
• Obtain quotations for repair works up to 20,000 and assess value for money.
• Manage repairs projects from initial inspection through to completion, including post-inspections.
• Advise residents and coordinate with contractors; manage damp and mould cases as needed.
• Ensure health and safety compliance across repairs and maintenance works.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, residents and external organisations.
