Job summary

Skilled Careers seeks a Repairs Supervisor (Reactive Maintenance) to lead a Romford-based team covering Essex and NE London. You will oversee direct labour and multi-trade operatives, driving first-time fix rates through modern IT workflow systems and strong customer focus.

The role demands experience in social housing maintenance, robust IT literacy, and a Proactive, safety-conscious approach. A permanent, full-time position with a supportive regional hub awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills with experience using job scheduling software, tablet/PDA tech, and digital reporting systems.
• SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferred, along with a CSCS card.
• Experience supervising repairs in social housing, housing associations, or council maintenance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workflows for direct labour operatives and subcontractors.
• Utilise IT workflows, PDA systems and client portals to track jobs and variations.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections to ensure high quality and first-time fix KPIs.
• Maintain health and safety across live properties and conduct RAMS audits.
