Job summary

The Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join a busy property and maintenance environment in Oxford. You will lead a team of trade operatives, provide direction and technical support, and ensure safe, high-quality responsive repairs.

Ideal candidates will have proven leadership in repairs or building services, strong knowledge of building maintenance, health & safety expertise (SMSTS preferred), and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar repairs, maintenance or building services leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building repairs and maintenance.
• Experience managing, coaching or mentoring trade teams.
• A strong understanding of health & safety within building and construction, ideally SMSTS.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of trade operatives, providing guidance, coaching and technical advice.
• Monitoring the quality, safety and timely completion of responsive repairs.
• Carrying out site visits and inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance.
• Managing workloads and resources effectively, particularly during seasonal and weather-related peaks.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring relevant IT systems are kept up to date.
• Participating in an out-of-hours emergency standby rota.
