Mears Group is hiring a General Operative in Manchester to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. This hands-on role involves installing fixtures, painting, decorating, and supporting cleaning tasks, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer service.

The position offers a full-time permanent contract, 42.5 hours per week, and a competitive annual salary. A full UK driving license is required, and there are many company benefits and volunteering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and skilled in general maintenance tasks.
• Good communication with residents and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel and work as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Install fixtures such as curtains, blinds and door handles with attention to detail.
• Paint and decorate to a high standard with organizational focus.
• Support cleaning and waste collection duties as needed.
• Work collaboratively within Repairs and Maintenance to ensure safety, quality and cost control.
• Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues and service users.
