Job summary

Almond is seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead reactive repairs and landscape maintenance, ensuring safety, quality and cost-effectiveness in service delivery. This pivotal role oversees performance, budgets, and contracts, providing high-level information to guide management decisions.

You will collaborate with contractors and internal teams, safeguarding assets while supporting the organisation’s strategic aims and delivering excellent customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant technical qualification in a building discipline.
• Strong experience in housing or property management, including reactive repairs and contractor management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent knowledge of building fabric, services maintenance and Scottish housing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead reactive repairs service to deliver timely, safe and cost-effective outcomes.
• Line manage the repairs team to achieve KPIs, develop staff and maintain safety.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, codes and technical standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on priorities, materials and access.
• Monitor performance, manage budgets, generate reports and maintain audit-ready records.
• Lead service improvements and handle escalations during major events.
