Job summary

Almond Housing Association Ltd. is seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead reactive repairs and landscape maintenance, ensuring safety, efficiency and high standards.

The role includes managing delivery, monitoring performance and supporting compliance to safeguard assets and support strategic aims. You will work closely with contractors and internal teams to drive service excellence, deliver cost-effective outcomes, and report to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant technical qualification in a building discipline.
• Strong experience in housing or property management, including reactive repairs, compliance and contractor management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, oversee budgets and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent technical knowledge of building fabric, services maintenance and Scottish housing legislation.
• Strong communication, reporting and IT skills, with the ability to collaborate and uphold WORKS values.
• Full driving licence with access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reactive repairs service to deliver timely, safe and cost-effective outcomes.
• Line manage the repairs team to meet KPIs and maintain high safety standards.
• Apply legislation, codes and standards to maintain compliance and asset integrity.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on priorities, materials and access to meet targets.
• Monitor service performance, manage budgets and contracts, and produce reports and audit-ready records.
• Lead service improvement, support policy development, handle escalations and manage major events like fire or flood.
