Sheffield City Council is seeking four experienced Team Leaders to head our Responsive Repairs team in Sheffield. You will oversee frontline operatives, drive performance, and ensure safe, high-quality repairs for our housing stock.
You’ll coach and manage staff, monitor service indicators, and promote a customer-first culture across the repair journey, while working with Housing Services and other stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery.
Sheffield City Council is looking for four experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Responsive Repairs team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled operatives delivering essential repairs within our housing stock, ensuring customers receive a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused service.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting frontline operatives, driving performance, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and championing excellent customer service. You will play a key role in helping us deliver repairs right first time, improve customer satisfaction, and provide safe, well-maintained homes for our tenants.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will manage a team of operatives delivering emergency, urgent and routine responsive repairs across Sheffield's housing portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring resources are effectively deployed, performance targets are achieved, and customers receive an excellent service throughout their repair journey.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
