Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking a Repairs Administrator for a busy contractor in Ongar. You will support the operations team, coordinating repairs, voids and disrepair works from instruction through to completion.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a friendly, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate has experience in social housing, knowledge of SOR codes, and strong organisational and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Repairs Administrator, Planner or Scheduler in social housing.
• Knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes.
• Experience handling voids and disrepair contracts.
• Able to communicate confidently with tenants and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and IT skills with repairs management systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate repairs, voids and disrepair works.
• Liaise with tenants to arrange appointments and update on works.
• Manage operatives' diaries and workload planning.
• Prepare and process variations for approval.
• Raise and manage works orders using SOR codes.
• Support Contract Managers and Supervisors daily.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service while meeting KPIs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator with experience in social housing, voids, and disrepair works to join a busy, supportive team.

The Role:

As a Repairs Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the operational team, ensuring repairs are managed efficiently from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling and coordinating repairs, voids and disrepair works.
• Liaising with tenants to arrange appointments and provide updates on outstanding works.
• Managing operatives' diaries and ensuring workloads are effectively planned.
• Preparing and processing variations for approval.
• Working with SOR (Schedule of Rates) codes to accurately raise and manage works orders.
• Supporting Contract Managers and Supervisors with day-to-day administration.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all systems are kept up to date.
• Delivering excellent customer service while ensuring contractual KPIs are met.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience within a Repairs Administrator, Planner, or Scheduler role in the Social Housing sector.
• Knowledge and understanding of SOR (Schedule of Rates) codes.
• Experience working on voids and disrepair contracts.
• Confident communicating with tenants, operatives and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Good IT skills and experience using repairs management systems.
