Job summary

Fareham Borough Council is seeking a Repairs Administration Officer to join the Building Repairs and Maintenance service for Fareham Housing.

You will handle customer queries by phone and in writing, ensuring the right repair is allocated to the tradesperson and update ICT systems with all necessary information for the repair to be completed. You will also provide a range of administrative duties, supporting across the department.

Qualifications

  • Must have a customer orientated approach and experience in a busy customer focussed environment.
  • Excellent communication and office administration skills.
  • Proficiency in ICT packages and systems (e.g., MS Office, CRM/ICT).

  • Determine the correct repair to be carried out by the allocated Tradesperson.

Job description

About The Role

Fareham Housing are looking for a Repairs Administration Officer to join their Building Repairs and Maintenance service.


You will be dealing with a wide variety of customer queries over the phone and in writing, ranging from routine repair requests to emergency repairs in relation to Council housing and Corporate Buildings. Through talking to customers you will enable the right repair to be carried out by the allocated Tradesperson and you will update ICT systems with all the necessary information for the repair to be completed.


You will also carry out a range of administrative duties, providing support across the department.


About You

You must have a customer orientated approach, experience of working in a busy customer focussed environment and be confident handling calls with a variety of customers. You will need excellent communication and office administration skills as well as proficiency in a variety of ICT packages and systems.


You will need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing work requirements whilst remaining calm, polite, positive and cheerful. This is a fast-paced, reactive working environment, often with a high volume of repair requests to process each day and you will need to be able to learn 'on the job'.
