Job summary

TRI Consulting Ltd is seeking a Rents Officer on a temporary basis (about 6 months) to support rent operations within a Housing Association. The role involves ensuring accurate rent levels, setting up accounts and payment methods, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will assist with annual rent reviews, budgets and statements, and contribute to system/process improvements in rents.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills with proven experience in handling complex data.
• Proficient numerical skills with large data volumes and multi-source validation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience delivering reports to Director level.
• Advanced Excel skills are required for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate rent levels and set up rent accounts and payment methods.
• Support the Rent Compliance Team to follow a transparent rent setting process and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulators' rent standards and annual rent reviews.
• Administer rent accounts and enable residents to pay rent from tenancy start via bar-codes.
• Support annual rent review, rent budget, and rent statement processes.
• Assist on improvement projects related to rents systems or processes.
• Carry out data validation checks and advise on coding errors and procedural risks.
• Manage rent setting exceptions and exemptions according to policies and contracts.
