Job summary

Moat Homes, based in Dartford, is hiring for a rent accounting officer to own rent accounting processes and maintain strong financial controls. The role supports flexible working between home and the Dartford office with all IT equipment provided.

You will process tenant transactions, maintain ledgers, handle enquiries and support invoicing. A numerate background and experience with basic Excel/Word are expected.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education – Numeracy in particular.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Some understanding of financial database ledger systems.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions to tenant accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Post cash book rent items and reconcile postings in the housing management system.
• Update tenant and property account information to reflect movements and disposals.
• Raise rent debits and reconcile postings to expected charges.
• Handle rent-related enquiries and notification to Tenants / Income Recovery.
• Provide cover to produce sales invoices as required.
• Index documents in the document management system accurately.
