Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Wolverhampton is seeking a Driver/Valeter to ensure our vehicles are presented in top condition. The role suits someone who enjoys a physical, active job, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

You will be responsible for cleaning vehicles to a high standard, handling equipment safely, and helping with vehicle movement between branches. Training is available for willing candidates and valet academy attendance is noted.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• High level of attention to detail is essential.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to participate in training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Use high-powered pressure washer and vacuum for cleaning.
• Operate polishing/buffing equipment to enhance bodywork.
• Drive to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Maintain and secure all equipment, report defects and follow PPE guidance.
• Work to set timeframes and targets.
• Complete a daily record of work.

Hours

Full time: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7and alternativeSaturdays.

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential requirements

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
