Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Heathrow is seeking a Driver/Valeter to keep our vehicles in pristine condition and support the Rental department.

You will clean, polish and prepare cars, drive to collect or deliver vehicles, and work in a fast-paced, hands-on team environment.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence, attention to detail and a customer‑focussed mindset; 45 hours per week with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team.
• The ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to participate in training programmes.
• Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and the other required criteria.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Using a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Ensuring equipment and machinery are maintained and reporting defects.

Hours

Full time: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7and alternativeweekends.

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential requirements

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
