Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a Driver/Valeter for the Rental department at our Leeds branch. The role involves presenting vehicles in top condition, cleaning, polishing, driving to collect/deliver vehicles, and adhering to health and safety procedures.

42.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with 1 in 3 weekends; training available and Valet Academy for new staff. This active, hands-on position rewards attention to detail and teamwork, with 33 days leave, private healthcare, a workplace

Responsibilities

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Using a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Maintaining and reporting defects in equipment and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Driver/Valeter to join the Rental department in our XXX branch.

Hours

Full time: 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, 1 in 3 weekends

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential requirements

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
