Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a Driver/Valeter for our Rental branch in Aberdeen. You will ensure vehicles are presented in top condition and support a busy yard with pride and accuracy.

The role is full-time, with Monday–Friday 7.30am–5pm and occasional weekends, offering training through the Valet Academy and a supportive team environment. Prior valeting is preferred, but enthusiasm and attention to detail are key.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.

• Drive to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Adhere to health and safety with chemicals and PPE.

Full time: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5pm with rotational weekend work.

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• High level of attention to detail
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to participate in training programmes

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
