Job summary

Arnold Clark in Edinburgh Sighthill is seeking a Rental Customer Advisor to join a busy Car & Van Rental team. You will deliver excellent face-to-face and telephone customer service, process bookings, and assist with day-to-day administration.

The role demands organisation, flexibility and a proactive attitude. You’ll work a 45-hour week over 5 days in a seven-day rota, support other branches when needed, and benefit from extensive training and generous employee discounts.

• Strong administrative skills required.

• Excellent communication skills with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
• Flexibility to work a rota across seven days and cover other branches.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently excellent level of customer care, face-to-face and by telephone.

• Handle customer complaints and queries.
• Monitor and control expenditure; run daily reports and act on them.
• Help promote the branch and a positive customer experience.
• Occasionally cover at other Arnold Clark branches when needed.

Hours

Full time: 5 days over 7 (45 hours per week)

About The Role

As part of a busy Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental team, you’ll work with management and other staff members to deliver the excellent service levels our customers expect from us.

The right person for this varied role will be flexible, organised and committed to providing a high standard of customer service at all times.

Day-to-day duties

• Delivering a consistently excellent level of customer care, both face to face and on the telephone
• Using your brilliant communication and organisational skills to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently
• Handling customer complaints and queries
• Monitoring and controlling expenditureRunning daily reports and ensuring they’re acted on
• Helping to promote the branch and a positive customer experience
• Occasionally covering at other branches when needed

Essential Skills

• The flexibility to work shifts on a rota basis seven days per week and also cover other branches
