Job Description
Position: Commercial Infrastructure Project Manager
Salary: Up to £80,000 plus bonus + benefits
Location: Herts, flexible hybrid available
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Define project goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
- Monitor progress against milestones, report status updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage project changes and implement adjustments to maintain delivery targets.
STAKEHOLDER & DEPARTMENT COORDINATION
- Act as the primary liaison between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain strong cross-departmental relationships to coordinate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Represent the Valeting function in meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
RISK, QUALITY & COMPLIANCE
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards and client/organisational expectations.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant HSE regulations and internal policies.
PROGRAMME RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead on the design and pricing of projects.
- Review and appraise designs to confirm utility connections, capacity requirements, and water storage.
- Manage the Master Tracker and oversee schedules, communications, site visits, and design meetings.
COMMUNICATIONS
- Internal – Regular communication with Infrastructure, Operations, and Development teams.
- Routine reporting to senior management.
- External – Liaison with contractors, suppliers, and external partners.
- Attendance at review meetings and relevant committees.
- Representation at site and progress meetings.
COMPLEXITY & CHALLENGES
- Managing multiple concurrent projects within live operational environments.
- Ensuring strict compliance with HSE regulations across all sites.
- Driving performance, accountability, and collaboration among contractors and stakeholders.
- Maintaining cost and time efficiencies without compromising quality.
- Coordinating a high volume of site visits across a broad geographic area.
- Promoting productive and positive working relationships across the business.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong project management background.
- Demonstrable understanding of HSE requirements.
- Commercial awareness with solid budget management skills.
- High self-motivation, excellent organisation, and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and strong work ethic.
