Job summary

SSE Renewables is seeking a skilled professional to maximise the value of its growing renewable generation and storage assets. You will coordinate Capacity Market and system services activities across Great Britain and Ireland, ensuring assets are qualified, optimised and compliant while protecting revenue.

You will work with development, operations, finance, commercial and regulatory teams to drive delivery of over 2GW of renewable and flexible generation assets, contributing to the energy

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex commercial, contractual, regulatory or compliance-driven processes within energy or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of electricity markets, energy regulation, ancillary services, capacity mechanisms or related frameworks.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver tasks against fixed deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess impacts.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with proactive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead qualification, application and auction activities across Capacity Market and system services schemes, ensuring submissions are accurate and timely.
• Manage contractual, regulatory and operational obligations to protect revenue streams and minimise risk.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholders across development, operational and commercial teams to keep assets compliant and ready.
• Develop and maintain governance, assurance and reporting processes, ensuring audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to enhance performance through optimisation and market participation strategies.
