Job summary

Midsummer, Cambridge-based distributor of renewable energy systems, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a large team and ensure safe, efficient operations across UK sites. You will oversee warehousing, health and safety, stock control, logistics, and process improvements, reporting to the Commercial Director.

The right candidate will be a natural leader, data-minded, and capable of driving KPI improvements, cost control, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or operations is common but transferrable skills are welcomed.
• Strong leadership and management abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to establish safe, efficient processes and manage KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations and warehousing teams across UK sites.
• Act as Health and Safety Officer ensuring compliance and safety.
• Oversee stock control and real-time listings with purchasing.
• Develop and implement logistics plans and in-house fleet initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and KPI performance for quality, efficiency and safety.
