Job summary

Green Recruitment Company is hiring an Operations Manager to standardise and scale operations across a group of installation businesses. This hands-on role focuses on improving systems and processes, working on-site with teams to fix workflows and drive system adoption.

The ideal candidate has experience in installation-led sectors and is adept with field service software. The position offers a competitive salary of £70,000 – £80,000 plus benefits, including hybrid working and 25 days holiday.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve operational standards across multiple businesses.
• Embed on-site to diagnose issues and implement practical solutions.
• Lead adoption of field service, CRM, and finance systems.
• Design end-to-end workflows from sales through to installation and aftercare.
• Build integration playbooks for newly acquired businesses.
• Drive KPI improvements (efficiency, margins, job delivery).
• Lead change with teams used to legacy ways of working.

Skills

Experience in installation-led sectors (e.g. renewables, construction, HVAC, EV)

Hands-on with field service software

Proven track record driving process/system adoption

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills

Willingness to travel regularly (60–70%)
