Job summary

AWD online is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across UK warehouse sites, ensuring goods flow efficiently to customers and maintaining high safety, quality and productivity standards.

You will manage teams, work with purchasing and personnel, and help develop the in‑house logistics fleet while advancing the company's growth as a leading distributor of renewable energy systems in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, warehouse, logistics, distribution, stock control or similar management environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and address issues clearly.
• Confident working with data, systems, processes and KPIs to support practical decision-making.
• Ability to identify process improvements and drive adoption of new ways of working.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and contacts.
• Collaborative and proactive with ability to build relationships across departments.
• Interest in renewable energy or energy transition.
• Transferable management skills from a relevant operational environment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: Manage operations and warehousing teams across UK sites.
• Health and Safety Oversight: Act as Health and Safety Officer ensuring compliance.
• Stock Control: Ensure stock systems and listings are accurate.
• Logistics Management: Ensure timely deliveries and support in-house logistics.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency and safety improvements.
• KPI Monitoring: Track KPIs across quality, efficiency and safety.
• Cross‑Department Collaboration: Work with senior colleagues to support day‑to‑day operations.
