Job summary

Pickfords in the UK is seeking a full‑time Driver (3.5T/LGV) and Porter to join our removals team. The role involves packing, loading, unloading and delivering possessions, with a focus on safe handling and excellent customer service.

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence; an LGV/HGV licence is preferred but training may be provided. You should be reliable, work well in a team, and be willing to travel and occasionally work weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and professional.
• Good team-working skills with the ability to take responsibility.
• Experience in removals, moving, logistics or a similar role is desirable.
• Willingness to work away from home and occasional weekends when required.
• Full training will be provided where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Safely pack, load, transport and unload customers' possessions.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Work as part of a team and, where required, lead and support colleagues.
• Ensure Company health & safety and working procedures are followed.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks where applicable.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure moves run smoothly.
• Support other operational duties as required.
