Job summary

Pickfords is seeking a full-time Driver (3.5T, LGV/HGV, 7.5T) and Porter to join our removals team. The role covers packing, loading, unloading, and delivering possessions for domestic and commercial moves with a focus on safe handling and excellent customer service.

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence for all roles; LGV/HGV Category C training may be provided to eligible applicants. Willingness to travel away from home and occasional weekends is required.

We are looking for a full time reliable and hardworking Driver (3.5T, LGV/HGV, 7.5T) and Porter to join our removals team.

The role involves supporting domestic and commercial moves, including packing, loading and unloading vehicles, safely handling customers' possessions and providing excellent customer service.

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence for all types of roles.

An LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is preferred but not essential, as training and development opportunities may be provided for candidates if interested.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely pack, load, transport and unload customers' possessions.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Work as part of a team and, where required, lead and support colleagues.
• Ensure Company health & safety and working procedures are followed.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks where applicable.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure moves run smoothly.
• Support other operational duties as required.

• Experience in removals, moving, logistics or a similar role is desirable.
• Willingness to work away from home and occasional weekends when required.
• Full training will be provided where necessary.

Training & Development

• Obtain an LGV Category C or C+E licence.
