Job summary

Kraken is building the next generation of financial services with a focus on open finance. The Regulatory Legal team supports EU/UK regulatory obligations for crypto, e-money, and payments offerings across UK entities.

This fully remote UK role requires a qualified lawyer with strong FCA engagement experience and deep knowledge of UK Cryptoasset Regime, AML/CTF, and outsourcing/regulatory resilience.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with BAU regulatory experience in financial services.
• Experience engaging with regulators (FCA or equivalent).
• Knowledge of UK Cryptoasset Regime, e-money and payments regulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory support on cryptoasset, e-money and payment services regulations.
• Assist with UK licensing/registration workstreams and outside counsel coordination.
• Support regulatory aspects of corporate transactions affecting UK entities.
• Maintain day-to-day regulator relationships for licensed entities.
• Translate complex frameworks into actionable business guidance.
• Promote clear, plain-English risk-based recommendations.
