Job summary

Kraken is seeking a hands-on UK regulatory lawyer to join its Regulatory Legal team. You will advise on cryptoasset, e-money, and payments regulatory requirements and manage BAU regulatory relationships, working closely with Compliance, Product, and senior leadership.

This fully remote role requires 6+ years PQE in financial services regulatory law, FCA engagement experience, and a pragmatic, commercially aware approach to risk.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer and eligible to practise in the UK.
• 6+ years PQE in financial services regulatory law.
• Experience engaging with the FCA and handling regulatory inquiries.
• Strong drafting, analysis, and regulatory risk assessment skills.
• Ability to distill complex rules into actionable guidance for non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory advisory on cryptoassets, e-money and payments.
• Support UK licensing applications and related registrations.
• Advise on corporate transactions affecting UK entities.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with regulators.
• Translate regulatory frameworks into practical guidance for the business.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Product, and leadership.
