Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a talented Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our UK remotely-based team. You will guide customers on designing scalable, reliable data-driven solutions with MongoDB, shaping architecture, and articulating business value alongside sales executives.

Ideal candidates have extensive pre-sales experience with enterprise software, strong scripting and programming skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role.
• 5–7 years of pre-sales with enterprise software.
• 3+ years with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#).
• Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem.
• Ability to review complex architectures and propose improvements leveraging technology.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for leadership audiences.
• Ability to strategize with sales teams to drive account plans.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies, communicating business value.
• Collaborate with sales to drive account success, including discovery, demos, and value proof.
• Generate demand within the sales territory through technical initiatives and events.
• Foster strong customer relationships and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with MongoDB product suite and industry trends.
