Job summary

Randstad Financial & Professional is partnering with a global healthcare and medical technology company to hire a Payroll Specialist (UK Payroll) on an initial 6-month contract. The role is remote with occasional office visits and offers up to £260 per day via umbrella for the right candidate, working to deliver UK payroll accurately and compliantly.

You will own end-to-end UK payroll, act as the UK statutory SME, liaise with outsourced providers and HR/Finance, and support multi-site and remote

Qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end UK payroll experience.
• Deep knowledge of PAYE, NICs, RTI, auto-enrolment pensions and HMRC year-end.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with outsourced payroll platforms like ResourceLink/Zellis or Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly UK payroll cycle for employees, gathering overtime, deductions, sickness, and leave data and transmitting files to the outsourced provider.
• Validate gross-to-net calculations and reconcile payroll outputs; manage payment approvals.
• Ensure compliance with UK tax and reporting requirements, including RTI submissions and auto-enrolment pensions.
• Support cross-functional stakeholders and act as the UK payroll SME for queries.
