Job summary

Pearson is recruiting Test Administrators to support PIRLS 2026 and TIMSS 2027 in Scotland. TAs administer pupil online assessments and related questionnaires, with remote training and two to three weeks of pre-training prior to each test window.

Availability is study-specific and location-based, with remote training and potential on-site activity as needed. Candidates should have classroom experience, comfort with onscreen testing, and the ability to work to strict procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching or working in a school classroom.
• Confident using IT applications, particularly for onscreen assessment.
• Experience of invigilating tests / examinations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the School Coordinator or Headteacher regarding test day arrangements.
• Ensure sufficient computers and that pupils complete online assessments.
• Administer assessments and questionnaires according to international standards.
• Maintain security and record session times and pupil participation.
• Return administration documents to Pearson after completion.
• Ensure timely completion of teacher/school/parent questionnaires by the test date.
• Set up and manage Pearson-provided laptops as required.
