Job summary

Abbott in the United Kingdom seeks a Technical Service Specialist to support Midlands. You will install and service instruments, perform PMs, and provide training to customers and Abbott Ambassadors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; engineering degree in medical/electrical/mechanical or medical technology preferred.
• Proven track record in a similar position with management and customer references.
• Experience engaging with customers, lab staff and key stakeholders.
• Excellent product and industry knowledge; strong service delivery processes.
• Strong communication and coaching skills; able to train others.
• Experience using analytical tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities.
• Inspect labs for new contracts / tender preparations and design for new installations.
• Install instruments, AbbottLink, and automation; perform deinstallations.
• Perform IQOQ (Installation Qualification Operation Qualification) procedures during and after installation.
• Assist with customer business reviews.
• Schedule, perform and document hardware and software updates (TSBs).
• Deliver basic operator trainings post install or post hardware or software upgrade.
• Provide coaching and training to other Technical Service Specialists.
