Job summary

Abbott Diagnostics is seeking an AlinIQ Informatics Technical Specialist for field-based delivery across UKI. You will implement and support complex digital health applications, coordinating with project teams and customers throughout the lifecycle from installation to optimisation.

The role requires strong IT-in-healthcare knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to travel up to 80% to customer sites. A relevant bachelor’s degree and experience with LIS/middleware are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Medical/Hospital Informatics, or related field.
Experience with IT systems in healthcare, diagnostics, or laboratory environments.
Experience installing/configuring/supporting laboratory informatics systems (e.g., LIS, middleware).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel regularly (up to 80%).

Responsibilities

Implement and configure AlinIQ Digital Health applications per customer requirements.
Collaborate with project teams to validate technical needs.
Integrate software/hardware components and advise on infrastructure.
Deliver engaging end-user training.
Provide post-implementation support and performance optimisation.
Travel to customer sites up to 80% as required.
