Job summary

Jobs4 is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive orders and grow profitability from a home-based Yorkshire territory. You will provide design solutions, ensure tender inclusions, and maintain CRM records in Salesforce.

The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager and involves collaboration with technical, estimating, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a construction-related sales or similar position, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with

Qualifications

Experience in a relevant construction-related role with at least 2 years.
Degree-level education (or equivalent) and GCSE Maths & English.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and CAD.

Responsibilities

Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-driven approach.
Provide design solutions that meet customer requirements and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Work to ensure products are specified in tender documents.
Achieve enquiry, quotation, and order volume targets at agreed gross margins.
Keep CRM records (Salesforce) up to date to support accurate financial reporting.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
Build relationships with key decision-makers within each account.
Develop new business relationships and identify prospective customers.
Produce clear, accurate written proposals and quotations in line with house style.
Develop personal skills such as time management and presentation capability.
Collaborate with internal teams including technical, estimating, and marketing.
