Job summary

BSI is seeking a Senior Technical Delivery Manager for Construction & Energy Certification in the United Kingdom. You will lead certification activities, ensure accreditation compliance, and drive strategic and operational performance across teams.

This role requires deep technical leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to engage with industry bodies, regulators and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product testing, assessment, certification or conformity assessment (Construction/Energy)
• Strong knowledge of product legislation, standards and regulatory requirements
• Understanding of ISO 17065 and ISO 17025 accreditation standards
• Experience leading senior technical professionals and managers
• Proven ability to develop new certification services or capabilities
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting and commercial performance
• Experience engaging with industry bodies, regulators and external stakeholders
• Strategic thinking to translate regulatory/technological developments into business opportunities
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with technical and senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership across construction and energy certification activities
• Monitor regulatory, technological and market developments; identify growth opportunities
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and external authorities
• Represent BSI at industry events and forums as a technical authority
• Contribute to broader Product Certification strategy and advise leadership
• Maintain accreditation compliance and technical integrity of certification activities
• Lead delivery of client projects with quality and commercial targets
• Manage P&L, forecasting and resource planning
• Drive continuous improvement of certification processes and services
• Lead and develop high-performance teams and succession planning
