Job summary

The British Standards Institution (BSI) is seeking a Senior Technical Delivery Manager to lead our Construction & Energy Certification operations from the UK, with a focus on strategic direction, accreditation compliance and high-value client delivery.

You will oversee Certification Managers and teams, drive performance, shape industry engagement and contribute to the broader Product Certification strategy in a global, fast-evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product testing, assessment, certification or conformity assessment.
• Strong knowledge of product legislation, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading technical professionals and managers.
• Proven ability to develop new business areas and technical capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Engagement with industry bodies, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking to translate market/regulatory developments into opportunities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; credible with senior stakeholders.
• Relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead certification activities across Construction and Energy product sectors.
• Maintain accreditation compliance and high technical rigour.
• Ensure high-performance client delivery and strong KPI achievement.
• Take accountability for P&L, planning and resource management.
• Develop and maintain external relationships with authorities and trade bodies.
• Provide leadership and development for certification teams.
