Job summary

Bright Purple Resourcing Ltd is recruiting for a Resident Engineer for a UK Remote role in network security software. You will be the customer’s day-to-day technical contact, owning issues end-to-end and coordinating with SOC, Development and Professional Services to ensure a seamless, white-glove experience.

Ideal candidates will have a customer-facing background in complex technical products, with networking/security knowledge and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing roles in complex technical environments.
• Experience supporting live production products.
• Background in networking, telemetry, data analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Being the trusted, day‑to‑day technical contact for a major customer, working remotely with regular on‑site visits
• Owning issues from start to finish, ensuring accountability across teams
• Bringing in the right internal teams, keeping everyone updated
• Spotting early signs of frustration and addressing them promptly
• Feeding customer insight back into the business for continuous improvement
• Identifying opportunities for additional products or services and passing to the account team
• Participating in health checks, service reviews and strategic discussions with the customer
• Helping customer teams build confidence and knowledge of the platform
