Job summary

Randstad Student Support is seeking a remote Student Counsellor (BACP Accredited) to provide specialised, clinical mental health support for higher education students. The role focuses on short-term, solution-focused interventions and requires mandarin language skills, with part-time PAYE terms and flexible hours.

Responsibilities include delivering 1:1 counselling, monitoring outcomes with CORE10, and managing a diverse caseload while adhering to safeguarding, GDPR, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience providing clinical support within higher education.
• Proven ability to manage a regular, structured caseload with brief, therapeutic models.
• Accredited membership with BACP (MBACP Accredited).
• Knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored therapeutic 1:1 counselling focused on short-term, solution-focused models.
• Monitor outcomes using clinical measures (e.g., CORE10).
• Manage a broad range of student issues including anxiety, dissertation stress, and exam stress.
• Uphold safeguarding and risk management protocols and escalation where needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
• Promote personal growth and self-care with evidence-based tools.
