Activate Learning is seeking a College Counsellor to join Reading College Campus in Berkshire.
The role is permanent, part-time (20 hours per week during term-time, 0.46 FTE) and delivers confidential 1-1 counselling to students, both face-to-face and virtually, in line with BACP ethics and safeguarding policies.
You will contribute to staff development through workshops and training, and oversee recruitment and supervision of placement counsellors as part of their studies.

We’re looking for a College Counsellor to join our team to provide a confidential, professional counselling service at Reading College Campus.
Delivering a service that conforms to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics, our safeguarding policies, and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines, you’ll encourage equity of access and promote a sense of welcome and privacy for all our learners. Offering 1-1 virtual and face-to-face counselling sessions to students, you’ll ensure they have support on a range of common issues.
Alongside this you’ll help contribute to college staff development through workshops, training and support, and oversee the recruitment and supervision of placement counsellors acquiring personal development and training as part of their studies.

You should be able to work as part of a team and be an organised individual with excellent customer service skills. It would be highly desirable to have experience providing clinical supervision to trainee counsellors.
