Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a College Counsellor to join Reading College Campus in Berkshire.

The role is permanent, part-time (20 hours per week during term-time, 0.46 FTE) and delivers confidential 1-1 counselling to students, both face-to-face and virtually, in line with BACP ethics and safeguarding policies.

You will contribute to staff development through workshops and training, and oversee recruitment and supervision of placement counsellors as part of their studies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in counselling and supervision required.
• BACP or UKCP accreditation sought (or working towards).
• Experience in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, professional counselling to students (1-1).
• Deliver services in face-to-face and virtual formats.
• Contribute to staff development through workshops and training.
• Oversee recruitment and supervision of placement counsellors.
