Job summary

Randstad Student Support is seeking a Mandarin-speaking, BACP-accredited remote Student Counsellor to provide clinical, short-term therapy within the Higher Education sector. You will deliver 1:1 brief interventions and monitor outcomes using CORE-10, while maintaining strict confidentiality and GDPR compliance.

Responsibilities include caseload management across anxiety, stress, and exam pressures, safeguarding, and collaboration with university referral pathways to support student wellbeing

Qualifications

• Experience providing clinical support within higher education
• Structured caseload management
• Familiarity with UK university admin/referral pathways
• Accredited membership with BACP (MBACP Accred)
• Regular clinical supervision to uphold standards
• Covered by professional liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 counselling using short-term, solution-focused models
• Administer and interpret CORE-10 outcomes
• Manage a diverse caseload addressing anxiety, stress, and exam pressures
• Uphold safeguarding and risk management protocols and escalate high-risk cases
• Maintain client confidentiality and GDPR compliance
• Apply empathy and evidence-based self-help tools to empower students
