Job summary

Matchtech Group is partnering with a London-based law firm to hire a SQL Database Administrator / Developer. This role covers SQL Server administration and development, ensuring reliability, security and performance of enterprise databases while supporting ongoing optimisation initiatives.

Occasional travel to London for stakeholder meetings and workshops is expected. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in SQL Server environments, T-SQL development and high-availability solutions, with

Qualifications

Proven SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise environments.
Strong T-SQL development and performance tuning.
Experience with backups, recovery and high-availability solutions.
Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Administer, support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Design, develop and optimise SQL databases, stored procedures, functions, views and scripts.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimisation improvements.
Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
Support database deployments, upgrades and patching activities.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deliver robust data solutions.
Ensure database security, integrity and compliance with standards.
