Job summary

Indra Group UK & Ireland is seeking a SQL Database Administrator to support mobilisation, knowledge transfer and early life support during the TfL transition project. The role focuses on Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backups, and incident response within an ITIL-aligned service environment.

You will work with customer stakeholders, incumbent suppliers and application teams to maintain high availability, implement DR testing, and document operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, backups, disaster recovery and monitoring.
• Experience in ITIL-aligned service management and clear technical documentation.
• Willingness to develop skills in Oracle DB and cloud/hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Mobilisation and transition readiness: participate in mobilisation and knowledge transfer activities.
• SQL Server operations and support: administer, maintain and support production, test and development environments.
• Service resilience and recovery: supervise backups, DR planning and testing, and rapid restoration.
• Data flow support: collaborate with teams to review SQL, procedures and integrations.
• Procedural improvements: create SOPs, runbooks and knowledge articles; support Change/Incident processes.
